Rose held onto him a few moments longer, then pulled back slightly so she could look at him, her cheeks covered in shimming streaks from the tears that had fallen. "When was the last time you ate?" she asked suddenly with a concerned and knowing look. "When Mum last put food in front of you?" He'd had trouble taking care of himself at first, being so used to the Time Lord way of life, and she remembered more than one occasion when he'd gone a full day without eating simply because he hadn't thought of it.
